Wildlife Research and Inventory
Gebauer & Associates has played a significant role in documenting wildlife use of Burns Bog, now a regionally protected area. Key wildlife species studies in the Bog over several years included Sandhill Crane, waterbirds, raptors and songbirds. Other wildlife research projects have included Bald Eagle and Great Blue Heron nesting success in the Lower Mainland and Sunshine Coast areas, American Avocet population studies in the Okanagan, the effects of forestry practices on various wildlife species groups, and caribou satellite-telemetry studies in the Arctic.
