Project Mitigation and Compensation
As part of Agnico-Eagle's Meadowbank Gold Project, Gebauer & Associates developed a leading-edge terrestrial ecosystem management plan that outlined a comprehensive suite of mitigation options and long-term wildlife monitoring strategies. For most other impact assessments, detailed mitigation plans are also developed and implemented. As with many other projects that Gebauer & Associates has been involved in, the City of Abbotsford's Whatcom Project Connector project has required a detailed habitat compensation plan to satisfy DFO requirements.
