A number of federally-owned, relatively undisturbed tracts of land used for defense purposes have been assessed for potential species at risk. Properties have been located on southern and eastern Vancouver Island, the lower Fraser River valley and the central BC interior. Several impact assessments have been conducted for military exercises in the Thompson-Nicola area.
